Het Loo Palace, in the woodland setting of Apeldoorn in the heart of the Netherlands, was the favourite summer residence of the Stadtholders and the Royal Family of the Netherlands from 1686 to 1975. Since 1984 the palace has served as a museum after a spectacular restoration of the buildings and the gardens, returning them to their original seventeenth century state. Near the hamlet of Zuuk, you will find the Museum Farm Hagedoorns Plaatse; a Saxon farm, established in 1715. The farmhouse is set up in such a way, that it looks as if the family that lived and worked here around 1900, has just gone out for a few hours. During the tour, done by volunteers, you will get an impression of how the farming family lived around 1900!
