All year round, it is good to relax on the terrace at your accommodation. Are you arriving between March and October? Then a sloop will be waiting for you upon arrival at the park. The park offers accommodation for 4 to 12 people, where you can enjoy a detached villa all year round.

Taking to the water

If you book a stay between March and the end of October, the sloop will be waiting for you when you arrive at the park. And after a brief explanation, you can immediately take to the water to discover the surroundings. You sail through villages and in between you wander through a maze of greenery. Some places are specially equipped for swimmers, where you can cool down in summer.

Dining in the accommodation

There is no restaurant on the park itself, but we do have a delivery service. Scan the QR code in the accommodation and easily order the most delicious dishes. These will be delivered to your accommodation. Fresh rolls in the morning? No problem, we also deliver those. Besides meals, you can also order gourmet or barbecue packages, which will be a treat!

Weerribben-Wieden National Park

The Weerribben-Wieden is a nature reserve formed by human hands, created in the 16th century by peat excavation for peat production. This created ‘weren’ (holes), ‘ribben’ (strips of land) and ‘wieden’ (lakes).

Giethoorn

Giethoorn is criss-crossed by many waterways. Make your day trip complete with a boat trip through the village and the nearby Weerribben Wieden National Park. You can rent boats anywhere in the village.

Anningahof Estate (Sculpture Garden)

The sculpture park of the Anningahof Estate is located on the outskirts of Zwolle, in a beautiful, natural environment. Here, everything revolves around contemporary Dutch sculpture from 1960 onwards.

Your holiday at Waterstaete Ossenzijl

Leave the car behind for a while. This holiday you can do almost anything with your cool motorised sloop. It will be waiting for you at your own jetty when you arrive. That is, if you book between March and the end of October. The surroundings are fantastically beautiful and there are plenty of places to moor. Have breakfast in the garden in the morning and make a plan. We can bring you bread if you like. Where shall we sail to? The Frisian lakes or shall we explore the neighbourhood first? The possibilities are endless. Or shall we go for a walk or a bike ride? Whatever you choose, you will find peace and relaxation here. A place to fall in love with. Never been to the Weerribben-Wieden National Park? Then you are in for a pleasant surprise. Just a moment ago you were driving on the motorway and now... beautiful! An area that the province of Overijssel is both proud and protective of. And of course we are also proud. Of our park and the fantastic surroundings that we would like to introduce to you. This is where the adventure begins. Boating has never been so varied or so exciting. You wander through a maze of green. You can't believe your eyes. And if you get hot, just take a dip. Some places are specially equipped for swimmers. This is pure enjoyment, minute by minute.
